The Barons played well to earn another league victory.
Playing up hill on a slopping pitch it was always going to be a hard first half for the Barons. However some good defending by Harry Browne Sainty & Elliott Capstick gave the Barons a solid start. They were also unlucky when a good strike from Archie Paxton hit the post and dribbled along the line only for it to be cleared. The midfield pairing of Richard Guy & Cameron Barrett closed down the oppostion well and Liam Green was busy up front trying to get involved.
The first half finished 0-0 which was a good score for the Barons.
The second half was always going to be a different game with the Barons going down hill. Within 40 seconds of the kick off the Barons were 1-0 up thanks to a good shot from Teal Amos.
The Barons were able to pen Brierfield in their own half for a lot of the 2nd half of the game and started to pass the ball well. Joseph Darcy had a couple of good chances but both sadly just went wide. It was Teal Amos again who was able to poke the ball home for the Barons from a corner to double their lead.
However it was not over, Brierfield seemed to get a second wind but Sam McGlashan & Harry Browne Sainty managed to make some good strong tackles to block out any attacking moves.
The game finished 2-0 to the Barons who played really well.
