Rishton United - 0
Barnoldswick Barons - 1

Both teams gave their all in this game as neither of them wanted to lose, as a Barons win would see them leapfrog Rishton in the league.

For the first 25 minutes Rishton were probably just about the more likely team to the lead, but only just in a game of end to end football with lots of good strong challenges and chances on goal. But the Barons stood firm and refused to concede with Josh Ellis and Luis Sarchet in outstanding form.

Just after the half hour mark Joel Lingard broke free and clinically placed the ball into the bottom corner. 1-0.

Minutes later and James Hartley thundered a shot into the top corner from some distance, but not for the first time this season the referee decided not to give it somehow.

Despite that the kids hung on to claim the win in what was a fantastic game of football.

Man of the match was awarded to James Hartley.
My man of the match was all 9 of them.
