The Barons started the year off with a tough game away at Barrowford Celtic.
The Barons were able to match Celtic in the first half. In a competitive first half both sides battled well in midfield with not many chances being created. Barrowford Celtic had a couple of clearer chances but were denied by some good goal keeping from Barons Archie Paxton. Liam Green and Teal Amos worked hard and put pressure on Celtic's goal.
The seconf half continued in much the same way, however the deadline was broken by Celtic when a shot took a deflection and managed to trickle over the line.
Celtic then pressed home their advantage with an excellent shot from Charlie Bateson which went in to the top corner.
There was no way back for the Barons and Celtic when a good cross wasnt cleared and Bateson shot and scored his second.
Archie Paxton picked up the Man of the Match trophy.
An enjoyable game, but unfortuantly Barons finsihing on the wrong end.
